Site Review Committee · Meeting of July 29, 2026

Chilmark's Site Review Committee cleared a proposed single-family home for referral to the Zoning Board of Appeals. Bryan Collins seeks to demolish an existing dwelling and build a new house on a 1.9-acre lot at 5 Ocean View Farm Road in the South Road Roadside District. The proposed home would stand 20 feet 10 inches tall, more than 400 feet from South Road, with existing vegetation limiting visibility.

Committee members found the project raises no issues related to the roadside district standards. The Zoning Board will review a special permit request for the height, which exceeds the 18-foot limit for gabled roofs in open terrain under town bylaw 11.6.C.2(a).
