CHILMARK — Select Board approves Cellco wireless facilities on utility poles. Voting unanimously on September 1, the Select Board approved a Cellco (Verizon Wireless) application to install 14 small cell wireless facilities on existing utility poles in town rights-of-way after a public hearing with no public comments. Chairperson Jeffrey Maida directed Town Administrator Timothy R.
Carroll to implement a federal court settlement and verify required documentation. The board also voted 2-1 to add 40B language to the Housing Production Plan, with Chairperson Maida dissenting while Vice Chair Matthew Poole and Clerk Rebecca Lynn Haag supported the state-requested amendment. The board set July 17, 2027 for the Swim Across America event and scheduled the non-resident taxpayer meeting for July 20, 2027 at 6:00 PM.
