Planning Board · Meeting of March 27, 2026

CHILMARK — Planning Board Working Group continued the Town Center Walkways project by reviewing notes from two March stakeholder sessions. Members Ann Wallace, Catherine Thompson and Janet Weidner, meeting with Chilmark Facilities Manager Patty Egan, organized ideas into four categories: walking paths, parking, traffic management and signage. Wallace reported on a site walk assessing parking conditions and infrastructure; the group identified that a leaching field shared by the Library and Community Center lies under the grassy area where the Community Center Advisory Committee plans to place climbing equipment, prompting the working group to seek attendance at a future CCAC meeting to clarify those plans.
