Planning Board working group charts Town Center walkability initiative

Chilmark Planning Board working group began planning stakeholder meetings to improve town center walkability.

Planning Board · Meeting of February 3, 2026

Chilmark Planning Board working group began planning stakeholder meetings to improve town center walkability. Planning Board members Ann Wallace, Catherine Thompson, and Janet Weidner, joined by Marie Larsen and Adam Turner of the Martha's Vineyard Commission, decided to invite four stakeholder groups to meetings starting in March. The group will use a PowerPoint presentation and structured questions about location access, property connections, and parking needs to gather input.

A map provided by Turner detailing property lines and road jurisdiction in the town center will serve as a visual aid at the meetings. ===END BRIEF===
