Chilmark Planning Board advanced a revised short-term rental zoning bylaw draft on Jan. 12. The board concluded its public hearing and directed the draft to the Select Board for potential warrant placement, with a Feb. 11 deadline applying for inclusion. Board members flagged issues for Town Counsel, particularly whether the language permits owners of multiple properties to conduct short-term rentals.
Separately, the board approved a building envelope change at 94 Menemsha Inn Road and a curb cut at 16 South Road, both by 5-0 votes with one abstention. The board voted unanimously to continue its Pickleball zoning hearing to Jan. 26.
