CHILMARK — The Chilmark Planning Board advanced three zoning bylaw amendment proposals toward public hearings at the Select Board. Catherine Thompson, serving as temporary chairperson in the absence of Rich Osnoss, led the board in voting unanimously to send the revised Pickle Ball amendment (eliminating the Tennis Court definition from Article 2 Definitions) and a Total Living Area and Definitions amendment to the Select Board. The board also voted unanimously to refer an ADU size question to Town Counsel, asking whether protected-use accessory dwelling units can exceed 900 square feet and whether the proposed changes are legal.
A continued public hearing on the Pickle Ball proposal was scheduled for February 23 at 4:40 PM.
