CHILMARK — The Chilmark Library Board voted Ruth Konigsberg permanent director following a six-month performance review by Board Chair Kaila Allen-Posin. The Board unanimously approved the library's Strategic Plan for submission to the State. Director Konigsberg presented the FY 2027 budget requests, largely flat except for two special requests: $8,000 to open on Tuesdays following Monday holidays and $24,000 for Friday afternoon hours from 1:30 to 5 p.m., which would increase operating hours by 10 percent.

The Board voted to amend the school/library services agreement to specify weekly library visits.
