Chilmark's Finance Advisory Committee and Select Board discussed three FY27 budget options spanning a $500K shortfall on February 19. Town Administrator Tim Carroll recommended Option 3, featuring a 2.34% tax rate and $0.06 per $1,000 of assessed value increase, while Option 2 would require a $593K override with higher tax impact. The committees reviewed departmental requests including a $77,600 Fire Department alarm coverage ask and reduction of one of two Tri-Town Ambulance staffing requests.
