Chilmark Zoning Board overturned a Building Inspector denial on 67 Middle Road. At its March 26 meeting, the Board voted to sustain the applicant's appeal of a secondary dwelling conversion, with all but one member in favor. The applicant sought to formalize a conversion without recorded approval, but the new Building Inspector denied the permit.
Board members who participated in drafting the current bylaw said they believed the applicant's interpretation was correct. The Board also continued hearings on a pool equipment relocation and referred a residential development appeal at 22 Round Pond Road to town counsel for bylaw interpretation.
